Join me for a great chat with Fashion and Lifestyle Photographer and fellow YouTuber — Irene Rudnyk! Irene is a self-taught fashion and lifestyle photographer located in Calgary, Canada.

About Irene in her own words:

My name is Irene Rudnyk, and I am a self-taught fashion and lifestyle photographer located in Calgary. I like to describe my style as romantic and artistic, I love to play around with light, softness, colors and textures. I definitely enjoy photographing people the most. I strive to make my models stand out in an image, making sure the background never overpowers the focal point of the picture.

Since I was a little girl I was drawn to photography and videography. My sister and I used to pretend that she was a model, and I was a photographer, we would dress up, do our make-up, and plan the poses and locations for photo shoots. When I was quite young and could afford it, I bought my first professional camera and instantly knew that photography was my passion. I started my journey as a fashion photographer, working mostly with agencies in Calgary, like Numa Models, Mode models and Imodels.

I have experimented with different styles and techniques and now as a developed photographer, I provide professional services like wedding photography, engagement, family, maternity, boudoir, model portfolio, and event coverage. I’ve also spent several years modeling, which has given me the valuable knowledge to both sides of the camera. If desired, I will be glad to help with posing ideas and angles to give you the best looking, unique images.

I am very friendly and sociable, I try to make my clients feel comfortable and have a lot of fun at the shoot. I am truly fortunate to do what I do. I get to be part of a person’s special day or celebration, get to know their family and most of all, capture those precious moments for them! That’s what it’s all about to me, capturing the emotion, character, and surreal beauty in people that will last a lifetime.
