This time out on the podcast, JABaWookiee explores some of the forgotten tracks that he has gathered over the past few months. The main reason they have been left out of previous mixes is their BPM. It’s always easy to fall back into the 125-130 BPM groove when compiling a mix, but this means many interesting tunes just get left behind, never to be heard.
The mix starts in the 165 BPM range, which usually covers drum and bass, but can also throw out some surprises. Then we slide down towards the 150-140 zone, where breaks mingle with hard techno, old school rave vibes and occasionally more dubby themes. Finally the mix enters the 130s and slow down into familiar territory ending with some interesting electronica.
