My guest today is John Renesch.
John has spent over half a century as a businessman/entrepreneur. He describes himself as an advisor, mentor, futurist and writer on matters of social and organizational change. He believes that commerce holds the key to bringing about a global shift of human consciousness, thus creating a future of tremendous possibility for humankind.

John states that ‘The biggest crisis in the world today is the lack of really effective leadership – what he calls “conscious leadership.”
“Conscious leadership” is the term John coined back in the 1980s to communicate the quality being called for in leading people, organizations and society through this historic species-wide transformation and determining a positive future for our children and grandchildren to inherit.
John was a founding member of The Conscious Leadership Guild, set up in 2018 The purpose of the Conscious Leadership Guild is to strengthen the competency and consciousness of its members in order to have more conscious leadership in place throughout the world. John was also Inaugural Board Chair of the Shaping Tomorrow’s Foresight Network, and Co-founder of FutureShapers.
Warren Bennis, the late international leadership expert, called John “a wise elder who shines with wisdom.
Indeed through his wisdom John has published 14 books to date, his latest being ‘The Great Growing Up’, which received the 2013 Grand Prize for Non-Fiction from the Next Generation Indie Books Awards.
The Great Growing Up carries a subtitle ‘Being Responsible for Humanity’s Future’
This seems so apt for our times now. As you say in the book, “We require a new level of maturity, taking responsibility for the whole, being accountable for our choices, individually and collectively. We must grow up!
