Actors Point Theatre Company is beginning its twelfth year of producing plays and musicals. He is the founder of the Sumner Stages Festival – producing theatrical productions along the banks of Old Hickory Lake in Sumner county.
Greg is the founder of the Sumner Stages Student Theatre Challenge – a one day workshop that allows middle school and high school students to arrive put on a show or a musical revue in just one day.
He is the co-creator of Hendersonville’s Got Talent – a Tennessee wide talent competition draws talent from all over the middle Tennessee region.
As a director for almost 40 years, his directing credits include The Man of La Mancha, A Christmas Carol, Leaving Iowa, Fiddler on the Roof, My Fair Lady, Guys and Dolls, Children of Eden, Steel Magnolias, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, Shrek – The Musical, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Pride and Prejudice, Little Women – The Musical, etc.
Wilson has performed nationally and internationally in many theatrical productions, TV commercials, corporate industrials and a number of
Independent feature films. His most recent national TV credit was a principal role on the Discovery Channel – Investigation Discovery – “Murder Comes to Town” and in the independent feature film “As Dreamers Do” – about the early life of Walt Disney - streaming on Amazon Prime and other sites.
In addition, Wilson is a respected acting teacher and acting coach in the greater Nashville area. He also coaches businesspeople on how to make themselves more powerful presenters.
Greg has written, produced, and directed a number of music videos for artists such as Billy Gaines, Sisters J, Chris Chitsey, Stephen Wrench, and Jacob Jones.
From 2008 to 2012 Wilson was the Producing Director of The Tennessee Shakespeare Festival for 4 years. In the fall of 2012, Greg was named the Artist in Residence for the theatre department of Martin Methodist University in Pulaski, Tennessee.
He has served on the executive board of the Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce over several years. He is also a member of the Hendersonville Rotary Club. He is responsible for the partnership with Volunteer State Community College who has just named Actors Point Theatre Company as their company in residence.
