Dyslexia Revolution

Dyslexia Revolution explores all things related to dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and all of the other learning differences, with son & mom team, Zachary and Pamela, from Dyslexia Power. They started on Zachary's journey with dyslexia more than 11 years ago and it's as wild a journey now as it was back when Zachary started Kindergarten. Zachary and Pamela dive deep into their experiences where they share the joy, the tears, the frustration, and the fun and funny moments in relaxed, wide open conversations - conversations that invite you in to start your own sometimes-difficult family conversations on dyslexia. Once all of have started the conversations flowing, there won't be any stopping us until there is a revolution when everyone wishes they were lucky enough to learn differently!

Zachary
Son with Dyslexia

Zachary is currently 16 years old and a junior in High School. He was diagnosed with Dyslexia in Kindergarten, and has his mom to thank for all of the love and support on his journey with dyslexia. Zachary co-founded Dyslexia Power as a way to help others along on their journeys with their own learning differences.

    Fun facts:

Zachary loves his two adorable Bichon Frise dogs, Apollo and Iris. He loves taking them both out in their life jackets when he's out on his stand up paddleboard (SUP) in the summer.

Zachary is a theater lover, an established basketball manager, and an academic with passions in both English and the Arts.

    Mom

Pamela is Zachary's proud mom. Her unexpected journey with dyslexia began when she first wrote to Zachary's Kindergarten teacher to request that he be tested for dyslexia...and was promptly told that "he'll grow out of it." And so it began...

After over a decade of researching dyslexia, fighting the system, and supporting her son and his friends, Pamela co-founded Dyslexia Power to help moms beat the overwhelm of the world of learning differences, hear the laughter once again from your happy, curious child, and skip all the tears and fights. Pamela always put the fun in learning for Zachary (even if it embarrasses him!).

      Fun Facts:

Pamela has lived, worked and travelled in over half the countries in the world as a (retired) USAID Foreign Service Officer working on HIV/AIDS, T.B., Ebola, education, and organizational capacity development.

While Pamela used to play the flute, one of her COVID-19 goal's was to learn to play the ukulele, especially "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." She's still trying!
