My Name is Kari Bullis. I have been teaching at Williamsburg since 2005. I currently teach 9-12 Personal Wellness and Lifeguarding, 8th Grade Exploratory Personal Wellness, as well as 7-12 adapted physical education. I also coach Jr. High Swimming. My swimming experience started really early in life. Some of my first memories are of being at the pool. I started with lessons as an infant and quickly moved to competitive swimming by the age of six. I swam competitively until college where I taught American Red Cross swimming lessons and coached four years of age-group swimming. I am a 2000 graduate of Moline High School and attended the University of North Iowa from 2000-2005. I graduated with a BA in Physical Education with a minor in coaching. I completed my Masters Degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotions with an emphasis on Sports Psychology in 2008 from California University. I currently live in North Liberty with my husband, son, two dogs, and gecko. I am currently the secretary of the Iowa Association for Heath, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance. In October of 2012 I was named the Iowa Secondary Physical Education Teacher of the Year. In my spare time I enjoy Zumba, kayaking, swimming, fishing, and anything else I can do outside especially if it involves water.
