Keith Giammanco, the "Boonie Hat Bandit" robbed 12 Missouri banks in 2007 and 2008. The first 11 heists were successful, but he was caught by authorities after completing his 12th robbery.
Keith, a middle class father and stock options trader with two daughters, plead guilty on all federal counts and served his time.
HOWEVER, the local prosector, the same one who was involved with the situation in Ferguson, decided to charge Keith again for the same crimes! based upon his testimony in federal court, Keith was convicted in Missouri for the SAME CRIMES again! How is this allowed in the USA?
Keith's federal sentence is over, but he is still in prison for the state conviction for the same crimes.
