"The idea behind Where the Truth Hides started when we had a family mystery to solve and turned to DNA testing. I might have become slightly obsessed. (Okay, I did.) We solved our mystery, but during our search, we also uncovered a secret or two. More than one person asked: is DNA ever wrong? After much research, I have found the simple answer. Families keep secrets, and people don't always tell the truth, but DNA doesn't lie.
Now, some people don’t want to know the truth. They’re fine with keeping the past buried, and I can respect that. But writing fictional stories about the secrets – I couldn’t resist."
