MARIE MOSLEY, Domestic Abuse Survivor/Author (2-1-23)

MARIE MOSLEY, a domestic abuse survivor and author from New York, will join us to discuss all that she has gone through in life - including giving birth to a child at age 14; being a victim of domestic violence, drugs, alcohol, infidelity, and more - and how she has come out on the other side happier and healthier than ever, and how she is helping women escape similar situations. She is also the author of the book, "The Pretty Divorce".

"I was a mom at fourteen years old and stayed in a very toxic relationship for twenty-five years, and had three more children. This relationship consisted of domestic violence, drugs, alcohol, infidelity on both parts, and so much more. As much as people believe side relationships are bad, and I will say I have to agree, for the most part, however, I must admit my side relationship saved my life. I was able to come out of the relationship, with a master's degree and become a school counselor. I was also able to love again and allow someone to truly love me. My book depicts my story from the beginning. How I grew up without my father after he dies, my mom left with six children, the tragic death of my sister and niece, being a teenage mom, and the side relationship that saved me from suicide. But the main premise is about divorce from all toxic relationships and other toxic situations that deserve a divorce. I believe all women have the ability to come out of toxic relationships, create brighter futures for themselves, and have healthy relationships with men that truly love them if they so choose to do so. And now I'm on a mission to show them how."

Marie is an inspiring author, speaker, and coach. She spent twenty plus years as an educator, inspiring and motivating, not only the children, she serviced, but colleagues, friends, and others, to live their best lives. She is a former Guidance counselor with a strong mental health background. Her purpose in life now, is to see women heal and recover from relationship issues that cause trauma. She loves to see women rebuild their lives and manifest their dreams. Especially those who have gone through a messy divorce or other nasty breakup.

Marie is a wife and mother of four. She has three beautiful daughters and a handsome son. She is also the grandmother of two very handsome little boys. Marie began her journey as a mom at the age of 14. She was determined to continue her education in spite of her situation. She did not allow her age or fear of the future to hold her back from becoming an educated, professional, woman. Marie is known for persevering through some of the toughest issues women face. Marie deems herself a Rose that grew from concrete. Because with the help of God whom she loves and adores, she consistently breaks through whatever hard situations life may bring."
