Benita Weathers, owner and CEO of BL Weathers LLC, and an ordained preacher, author, teacher, certified life coach, podcaster and freelance editor. Rev. Weathers is particularly interested in the holistic health of individuals - spiritual, mental and physical, and founded Mind the Mental, Inc., a non-profit organization with a mission to equip youth and young adults with mental well-being.
Rev. Benita also recently published her new book, The Scream Within: Clergy Marriage and Mental Health, Journey of a Pastor’s Spouse, and will share her journey in love and marriage with her husband who is challenged by clinical depression. It is written with the hope of turning the scream within to a scream without- without fear, condemnation, or ridicule.
Rev. Weathers is also the author of a Bible Study guide, Living the Word Beyond Sunday Morning: Practical Ways to Live God’s Word and Make an Impact for God’s Kingdom Bible study guide and Self-Work Book, and the host of Living the Word Beyond Sunday Morning, the Podcast. She has been a featured speaker at workshop trainings, conferences, and worship services, is the proud mother of 3 adult children, a Senior Research Project Manager at the University of Pennsylvania and a member of the International Association of Women and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
