Miss Heard shares a misheard song lyric on Episode 124 with the iconic hip hop song by Sir Mix-A-Lot..”Baby Got Back.”
This once considered vulgar song that objectified women actually was quite the opposite 20 years later with many women of color seeing it as more of an anthem for celebrating many different body types. The impetus of the song was due to Sir Mix-A-Lot and Amylia Dorsey trying to “Broaden the definition of beauty.’ Miss Heard will go over the behind of scenes of the making of the bootylicious video with even Sir Mix-A-Lot and his crew deciding which dancers to hire with only the polaroid photos of their backsides to choose from for official “butt approval”, and a famous part of the song was sampled from the film “Full Metal Jacket.”
