On this episode of Next on the Tee, two compelling guests join the show to share incredible golf stories, insights into the future of the game, and the technology shaping modern performance.

Leading things off is golf industry veteran Rich Katz, a man who has spent more than three decades representing PGA Tour players and helping shape the business side of professional golf. Rich is the Founder of The Buffalo Agency, a division of Billy Casper Golf, and during our conversation he shares memorable stories about his close relationship with golf legend Billy Casper, along with insights from his decades inside the professional game. Rich also talks about the incredible surge in golf participation since the pandemic, exciting companies he encountered at the PGA Merchandise Show, and how AI and new technology are influencing golf instruction, golf equipment, and the future of the game.

Then we turn to one of the rising talents in our game, Jenn Whaley, the Senior Product Manager of Golf Balls at Callaway Golf. Jenn gives us a fascinating inside look at the technology behind the new Callaway Chrome Tour golf ball, that's generating faster ball speeds, what cross-seam and in-seam means for aerodynamics, and how the team at the Ely Callaway Performance Center continues to push performance forward for players of all skill levels. Jenn also discusses the growing number of women entering the game, creative golf ball designs, and how equipment innovation can help golfers play better and enjoy the game more.

Between Rich’s decades of golf industry experience and golf stories from the PGA Tour, and Jenn’s insights into golf technology, golf equipment, and modern performance design, this episode delivers an entertaining and informative look at the people and ideas shaping the future of golf.

Tune in for another great conversation where golf legends live and your game gets better, filled with engaging golf stories, golf tips, golf instruction, insights, and perspectives from the people helping grow the game we all love.

I’m Chris Mascaro, who is blessed to be the award-winning host and creator of Next on the Tee. The heart of the show is a deep gratitude for my guests who share great stories, and a genuine love for the game of golf. Each week, I’m fortunate to sit down with golf legends, major champions, top instructors, broadcasters, caddies, and storytellers who are kind enough to share their time, insights, and experiences with all of us.

I believe golf is at its best when it brings people together. My goal with every episode is to go beyond the leaderboard and the swing tips, and instead focus on the stories, lessons, and moments that stay with us—both on and off the course. I want listeners to enjoy the game more, think about it a little differently, and feel connected to the people who have shaped it.

Next on the Tee has been honored with multiple industry awards, including w3, Davey, and Communicator Awards, and I’m incredibly grateful for that recognition. Even more meaningful to me is the community that’s grown around the show—“Next on the Tee Nation.” I never take for granted that you choose to spend your time here, and I’m thankful every time you press play.

At the end of the day, I approach each episode with humility, curiosity, and appreciation—for the guests who trust me with their stories, and for the listeners who continue to take the journey with me.
