Then I cross over into the worlds of track and field and the NFL with former LSU and Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Eddie Kennison. Eddie reflects on his remarkable athletic career, being inducted into the Louisiana and Missouri Sports Hall of Fame, and why—more than three decades after leaving LSU for the NFL Draft—he returned to school in his 50s to earn his college degree. Eddie also shares stories about playing for legendary coaches including Mike Ditka and Dick Vermeil, discusses how the wide receiver position has evolved over the years, and even talks about his appearance on Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares thanks to his passion for cooking.
