What can we learn from what happened to Ananias and Sapphira, who lied to the Holy Spirit, to God?
What can we learn from Peter and John, who listened to and obeyed the Holy Spirit?
Ananias and Sapphira (V1-16)
- Are you putting on a show, appearing to be a Christian?
- What are you holding back on, but making it seem like you are giving your all to the LORD?
- What work or prompting of the Holy Spirit are you ignoring, while appearing to be a follower of Jesus to everybody else?
Prison to Preaching (V17-21)
- Are you being unfaithful on the inside, putting God to the test?
- Are you willing to be treated the same way the apostles were?
- Do you believe that the LORD can do a miracle in your life and release you from the prison you are in?
- Will you continue to obey the LORD, no matter what happens in your life, when things don’t go your way even if you are following Jesus?
