“So the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.” - Genesis 4:7
Does sin rule over you? When sin reigns, the self will always be out of control! 😱
It is impossible for us to rule over sin without help from the Holy Spirit, and He, the Spirit of Jesus, does not dwell in someone unless they have placed their trust and faith in Jesus!
Becoming a Christian doesn't mean that you will never ever sin. In 1 John 1:8-9, it is written: “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Turn to Jesus today, let Him become the LORD of your life so that sin can no longer lord over you. And WHEN you mess up (ad you will), confess, repent and rest in the forgiveness that is already yours in Christ! 🙌
