My name is Kara Rigsby. I am a second grade teacher.I have been teaching for 12 years in grades ranging from Kindergarten to Second grade.I am an educator who strives to be better for my students.I have earned my masters in Reading & Literacy Pre-K-Sixth grade fromWalden University.I am a Level 1 Google Certified teacher, as well as a NationalGeographic Educator.I had the honor of being a participant in the National TeacherLeadership Academy in 2019. I was part of the STEM team that worked collaboratively with the University of Wyoming in developing a science curriculum for our school district for 5years.I was also awarded a TEConnect Grant for one-to-one iPads in 2016 and have been aone-to-one classroom for the past 6 years.I have been able to share my knowledge with fellow educators through presenting at the Wyoming Advanced Ed conference and theWyoming Department of Education Innovation Showcase 2019, Innovative Schools SummitSan Antonio 2020, and Innovative Schools Summit Las Vegas 2021.I have also been teaching at the district level providing training with courses such as Integrate Like a Boss! I have a passion for teaching and creating integrated learning experiences that educators can use to be effective in the classroom and that students will remember.
