Welcome to another episode of Stories Matter, where we delve into the transformative power of storytelling in the lives of leaders.

[Why This Is Important] Today, we have a special guest, Henry Yampolski, who will share his incredible journey of self-discovery and how it led him to a profound understanding of conflict transformation.

[What You Need to Know] Henry, originally from Ukraine, pursued a career in law and even found success as a partner in a firm. However, he soon realized that there was more to life than just professional achievements. His transformative experience of riding a motorcycle through the Himalayas made him confront his own fears and doubts, leading him to a newfound clarity and purpose.

[What You Need to Do] Henry's journey inspired him to develop four principles of conflict transformation: tuning inward, observation without evaluation, expansion, and exploration. He started applying these principles in his work, eventually moving away from law and focusing on consulting and teaching conflict coaching.

[Take Action] If you're seeking sustainable change and want to become a more effective leader, listen closely as Henry shares his insights into transforming conflict and leaving a lasting legacy. Stay tuned for an episode filled with valuable lessons and practical advice on how to navigate challenging interactions and create positive change.

Stories Matter! - Helping Leaders Transform Lives

Listen to accomplished leaders share how they have transformed lives.

Leaders essentially only do three things.

  1. Initiate change,
  2. Sustain change
  3. Grow Leaders.

Initiating and sustaining change are fairly straight forward activities, but growing leaders seems complicated. It's the process of instilling values.

That activity, too, can be broken into three elements.

  1. Clear direction - where you explain what you want done and how performance will be evaluated.
  2. Modeling the behavior - where leaders demonstrate integrity, by behaving in alignment with their stated values.
  3. Tell stories that demonstrate the values.

Join Gayle Turner and Shelli Jost Brady as they explains how and why stories amplify steps 1 , 2 & 3. Listen as they encourage their guests, accomplished leaders all, to share stories they have used to grow the leaders under their care.
