Jennifer “The Turfette” Jones brings together a passion for horticulture, business, education, and the Green Industry with a commitment to helping professionals grow both their knowledge and their businesses.
As President of Turf Teacher University, LLC, Jennifer plays a leading role in developing and delivering continuing education, professional training, and industry resources for landscape contractors, irrigation contractors, pesticide applicators, and other Green Industry professionals. Her focus extends beyond technical education to the business side of the industry, helping professionals better understand the systems, strategies, and decisions required to build stronger and more successful companies.
Jennifer is also the co-host of Turf Talk alongside her husband Eric “The Turf Teacher” Jones. Together, they bring contractors, manufacturers, suppliers, educators, and industry leaders into the conversation to discuss the people, products, technology, education, and trends shaping the future of the Green Industry.
Known throughout the industry as “The Turfette,” Jennifer brings her own perspective to Turf Talk—combining horticultural knowledge, business insight, curiosity, and a genuine interest in the people behind the industry.
From the classroom and the trade show floor to interviews with industry professionals, Jennifer believes education is about more than earning credits or checking a box. Eric “The Turf Teacher” Jones has spent his career working, teaching, and leading in the Green Industry. With experience spanning landscape contracting, horticulture, turfgrass, irrigation, pesticides, landscape design, and business management, Eric combines technical knowledge with real-world experience to educate the professionals who keep the Green Industry moving.
As an educator and industry professional, Eric has built his reputation around one simple philosophy: education should be practical, relevant, and something you can actually use when you get back to work.
Eric is the Founder and CEO of Turf Teacher University, LLC, providing continuing education, professional training, and industry resources for landscape contractors, irrigation contractors, pesticide applicators, and other Green Industry professionals.
He is also the co-host of Turf Talk alongside his wife Jennifer “The Turfette” Jones, where they bring together contractors, manufacturers, educators, suppliers, and industry leaders for real conversations about the challenges, opportunities, technology, products, and trends shaping the Green Industry.
Eric’s professional background includes experience as a landscape contractor, landscape designer, horticulturist, irrigation professional, pesticide applicator, educator, consultant, and business owner. His years in both the classroom and the field give him a unique ability to take complicated subjects and turn them into practical information professionals can immediately understand and apply.
Whether he’s teaching a classroom, speaking at an industry event, walking a trade show floor, interviewing an industry leader, or working alongside contractors in the field, Eric’s mission remains the same:
