Did you know that spending time with trees has been shown to reduce stress and blood sugar levels, boost immunity and cognitive ability? That’s just the beginning.

Friend and author Cheryl Rickman tells us all about the nature and generosity of trees in her new book “Tree Glee”. Given my obsession with trees, I had to have her on the show to go deep about how insanely amazing and important they are and why that’s as much scientific fact as it is cultural myth, wonder and woo.

Cheryl is a proud tree-hugger and advocate for the power of nature as a healer and energy giver. She is also a Sunday Times best-selling author of 13 books, ghostwriter of another 13 and a qualified positive psychology practitioner.

We talk about why trees have this impact on the earth and us that they do. What specifically can we learn from trees about authenticity, altruism, resilience and collaboration?

How does our ancestral memory play a role in the reason why trees are so comforting and calming?

How do our senses of sight, smell, hearing and touch come in to it?

Listen to this inspiring conversation about the mental and physical health benefits of time with trees and how and why they make us feel better.

Here are some things you’ll discover in this episode:

  • Why we and trees are mutual light-seekers.
  • What specifically can we learn from trees about authenticity, altruism, resilience and collaboration?
  • What simple exercises can we do to build our connection with trees and flourish?
  • and so more…

Enjoy!
